The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Lobby/Receptionist Officer. As a Lobby/Receptionist Officer, you will be responsible for interacting in a professional, friendly manner at all times when in contact with visitors whether at reception lobby or other areas throughout the client campus.  The Lobby/Receptionist Officer also should have impeccable grooming and personal presentation matched with natural warmth and refinement; exemplary problem resolution skills, keen listening skills, engaging social skills, and organizational skills.  As a Lobby/Receptionist Officer, you will be expected to welcome and interact with VIP guests and deal with any queries big or small in the most professional manner.  This position greets visitors and gives directions to places within the complex.

** $500 and $250 bonuses will be paid as follows: $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days of continuous employment; and $250 referral bonus after 30 days of continuous employment. Bonus amount is subject to applicable federal and state income withholdings. **

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Present a customer service approach to greeting and interacting with employees, clients, visitors, guests, and contractors
  • Observe and report any suspicious or irregular activities that may create security or safety hazards
  • Provide an exceptionally high level of service, knowledge and dedication to site staff and visitors; work closely with client staff to ensure visitor needs are addressed and handled appropriately
  • Represent client by serving as an extension of the organization to executives, staff, and visitors
  • Remain abreast of daily client events through bulletins, intranet releases, communication with key personnel and receptionist
  • Assist client executives, administrative staff, security staff, and visitors with light administrative assistant duties including but not limited to: copying, faxing, and answering phones
  • Partner with client personnel and gain an in-depth understanding of the client’s principles, values, goals, and vision
  • Ensure that unexpected visitors have proper authorization before permitting their entry
  • Answer telephones in a friendly, professional manner, taking messages with accuracy
  • Assist in coordinating arrivals of executive visitors; implement security policies and procedures established by client management with regard to arriving and departing visitors, VIPs, etc.

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required state security licenses

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Prior work experience with customer service or receptionist duties in a high profile corporate environment
  • Prior work experience involving direct interaction with executive-level clientele and guests

Skills Required

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

Other

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:        Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching and reaching.
