Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Designing and reviewing global risk assessments
  • Analyzing intelligence, geo-political frameworks and social media monitoring
  • Ensure that the GSOC functions as the hub for the monitoring, analysis and interpretation of risks and threats that may affect global business
  • Perform analysis, planning and provide direction in support of the protection of people, assets/intellectual property of client’s global business infrastructure
  • Develop training and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for personnel assigned to the GSOC
  • Answering phones; operate IP based telephone system
  • Operating radio; use multi-channel communications
  • Call logging; data entry into PPM 2000
  • Operations support; routing of call information to the appropriate units for handling
  • Ensure procedures and protocols in place enable timely and effective response to incidents, alarms, notifications, calls and other activities related to the GSOC and its role as a central alarm monitoring station.
  • Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls from client employees, outside vendors, law enforcement, and the security field force via telephone, automated alarm monitoring and radio systems
  • Ensure all systems, both hardware and software, are supported by the appropriate functional groups and are functioning properly.
  • Process and evaluate information received from all available sources, and respond with the appropriate communication and dispatch procedures
  • Oversee coordination with Security Operations staff to provide necessary documentation in support of uniformed guard force activity (e.g. Officer Dispatch, Incident Reporting, etc.)

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to meet and maintain any applicable licensing or certification requirements

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of one year of experience in emergency dispatch or crisis intervention services
  • Work experience must include of the following:
    • Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills and ability to expertly prepare reports
    • Ability to use logic and reasoning to reach conclusions and approaches to problems
    • Demonstrated high level of competency with advanced computer systems (e.g., hardware, software and networks)
    • Possession of highly proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
    • Ability to communicate effectively with IT and Security Systems professionals
    • Demonstrated ability to operate radio, telephone equipment and/or console monitors
    • Flexibility to work various shifts and willingness to assist the team when needed
    • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and working under extreme pressure

  • Must be 18 years of age or the minimum required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Demonstrated ability to operate radio, telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Flexibility in work schedules and availability for all shifts is essential
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and working under extreme pressure
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Upon acceptance of a job offer, must be able to pass the following:
    • MMPI - Psychological testing and a skills assessment
    • Physical exam

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:  Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:  Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Limited, to include some standing, bending, and limited stretching and reaching.
